Consistently poor auto R&R service. The PARTS Dept help and advice is good, but that's as far as it goes. Austin Subaru screwed up a clutch install. Would not acknowledge/re-do despite many return visits! Clutch only lasted about 40,000 miles!!! NOT HARSH DRIVING and I have been driving clutch "manual" cars over 40 years! Got professional second opinion from another auto repair center. Clutch worked perfect ever since it was properly installed and adjusted by the other center!
Austin Subaru would not make good on it, even after clutch was (proven to be) properly replaced, adjusted and working perfectly by other shop.
I could easily name off six other repair visits that went poorly with Austin Subaru. Even simple things like adjusting the fuel filler door so it would open, the AC belt tensioner, tire pressure sensor in wheel,...several petty items even after return visit.
